Moma

4.5 (1,067)$$$$ · Premium

Moma holds a Michelin star and sits in a central, well-heeled part of Rome near Via Veneto, but reviews here run more modest than most of its starred peers, one visitor calls the meal enjoyable overall while noting nothing stood out as truly great, and another, with professional experience in Michelin kitchens elsewhere, found the final bill disappointing relative to what arrived. At 4.5 from 1,067 reviews and premium pricing, it remains a solid, competently run fine-dining choice, but one to approach with moderate rather than sky-high expectations. It suits diners wanting a proper Michelin-starred meal in a central location without necessarily expecting a career-best dinner.

What people say

"We had an enjoyable dining experience at this restaurant overall. Everything tasted fine but none were great, which is surprising for a one Michelin star restaurant. There was a generous number of amuse bouche to start but all tasted mild with no distinctive flavor. The pasta and risotto courses were more al dente than I'd like but flavors were decent. We just didn't find the food all that interesting and, more importantly, didn't have great flavors. The staff was attentive and very efficient and the pacing of the courses was good. They worked hard and seemed to have the dining operation well organized. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing."
