Food
Il sorpasso has a wine-bar-meets-trattoria feel, with reviewers praising both classic dishes like ragù pasta and an easy aperitivo culture built around Aperol Spritz and cured-meat platters. It fills up fast — reviewers specifically recommend booking an earlier slot around 6:30pm to beat the post-7:30 crowd — and with over 4,000 reviews at 4.4 stars, it's clearly one of the busier addresses in the neighborhood. Its scores fit a lively, broadly popular spot rather than either a hidden find or a formal special-occasion restaurant. It works equally well for a casual aperitivo or a full dinner.

What people say
"Booked a table a few hours ahead of time, went for an earlier dinner at 18:30 which was great as it got really full after 19:30. Had the ragu pasta which was heavenly, drank that with a bottle of Langhe Nebbiolo and a glass of Barolo. Had the bread with tomato and olive oil starter - amazing, simple flavorful a great way to start off dinner followed by a prosciutto tasting before the main. A must visit!!"
