Bröhan Museum

4.4 (1,285)$ · Budget-friendly

The Bröhan Museum feels less like a conventional museum than a beautifully furnished private house, with six or seven modestly sized rooms arranged to showcase Jugendstil and Art Deco furniture, ceramics, and glasswork in period-appropriate settings. Its scale is deliberately intimate, and reviewers who appreciate the design movements it covers describe it as a delight, while noting it's a smaller, more specialized stop than Berlin's major state museums. A 4.4 rating and very high aesthetic score reflect how well-curated the collection is despite its modest footprint. It pairs naturally with the nearby Charlottenburg Palace and the Scharf-Gerstenberg Collection across the street.

What people say

"If you like Art Nouveau/Jugendstil/Secessionist art and furniture, this museum is a delight. They also had another (potentially temporary) exhibition on the 3rd floor, which showed the work of an art collective, around the fall of the Berlin Wall. Really nice museum and it also doesn’t take too long to see everything so also suitable for those who don’t like spending hours in museum."
