"I read this place is like an institution here in Rome, you can see from how long the line is when you arrive but out of the many gelato places we had in Italy, I think our experience here was a little below those in comparison. First, we were willing to pay extra and opt for a table service price so we can sit down so we asked if we can order the gelato inside and they said yes but when we got in, only the special type of gelato and desserts could be ordered in the tables. We just wanted to get the regular ones and were willing to pay a bit more for table service but unfortunately it wasn’t possible. So we just lined up, ordered and ate it outside. Then the gelato itself, I would say isn’t my favorite. I’ve been to at least 10 gelato places as of this writing in different cities in Italy and I could still say the same. Maybe it’s a different kind of gelato that’s just not up to my liking? Not sure. It also melted too quickly and it wasn’t a warm day when we came there. Also the serving size for that price is really small, compared to other gelato places. Maybe because they use better quality ingredients? I don’t know. Maybe I would need the full picture to make sense of it all."
