"We made a special stop at La Grande Épicerie de Paris on our last night in the city, and it was the perfect way to wrap up our trip. The store itself is beautiful — not just a grocery store, but more of a food lover’s paradise. Everything is thoughtfully displayed, and you can find just about any French specialty you could want. It feels upscale without being intimidating, and it’s easy to spend way more time there than you planned. Our mission was to pick up the famous French butter to bring back home to the States. They vacuum seal it for you, which makes traveling with it much easier and gives you peace of mind for the flight. Pro tip: make sure you pack it in your checked bag. TSA can (and likely will) confiscate it if it’s in your carry-on or personal item — even if it’s vacuum sealed. If you’re in Paris and want high-quality food products or edible souvenirs to bring home, La Grande Épicerie is absolutely worth a visit. It’s a very nice grocery store and a great final stop before heading home."
