Food
Trattoria Da Teo occupies a spot on the pretty Piazza dei Ponziani and draws praise for portions so generous that finishing a plate becomes a challenge, with reviewers frequently returning specifically for a final dinner before leaving the city. Attentive, personable service — one waiter is mentioned by name for making the meal memorable — adds to the appeal alongside food that's consistently described as very good. At 4.2 stars over 3,919 reviews, it's a popular, reliable choice rather than either a hidden secret or a formal special-occasion spot. It suits a relaxed dinner on one of Trastevere's more charming small piazzas.

What people say
"We had such a wonderful time at Da Teo’s last night. The food was very good and the portions were extremely generous - I couldn’t finish my plate! Our favourites were the selection of starters we especially. But above all, our experience was made by our waiter Salvo, who was the most friendly and attentive waiter which is hard to come by in Rome! Thank you so much for a lovely evening!"
