Sport/Recreation
Arkose Nation offers the same long daily hours and welcoming approach as its sister locations across Paris, with an attached shop stocking climbing gear from brands like Mad Rock. It's a solid option for climbers looking for a session in the eastern part of the city.

"I came for the shop because I needed new shoes and I saw they carry madrock (the pair i need to replace). The sales attendant was very nice, she asked me questions about my climbing and took the time to show me different models that they had in my size to find the next best shoe for me. 5 stars for the service there. However I then stayed to climb and honestly wasn’t a huge fan of the gym. While well equipped, the warm up area is small, and the climbing areas are super crowded. They mark the “safe” zones but they’re only wide enough for really 1 person to stand between most of the walls (and even then, there are some of the areas where people could definitely still fall off a route onto you even if you’re in the “safe” zone). I was there on a weekday afternoon and I can’t imagine how anyone could climb there after work as there were already lines of 5+ people to hop on climbs. Also I found the holds to be quite slippery, and their 7€ bottle of mini chalk is pretty shitty quality. On top of all that there are mass amounts of children that are running wild around the place, under people climbing, hopping on routes that interfere with someone already climbing, despite the fact that there’s a kids only climbing zone. I’d give the climbing gym itself about 2 stars, since there were some interesting climbs, but in the end I paid a day pass to get sick of climbing there after not even 2 hours"
