Food
Master Wei focuses on the robust, hand-pulled noodle and spice-driven cooking of Xi'an, a regional Chinese cuisine reviewers say stands well apart from the more familiar Cantonese or Sichuan options around London. Chef Guirong Wei's appearance in a Netflix food documentary has turned the restaurant into something of a pilgrimage for fans, several of whom mention waiting years to finally visit. At 4.5 stars and mid-range pricing, it's an accessible way to try a distinctive regional cuisine, and the atmosphere gets praised alongside the food. It suits a relaxed lunch or dinner for those curious about Chinese regional cooking beyond the usual.

"I have been in a few Chinese restaurants but I have to say that this place is the best by miles. The atmosphere of the place is great. I did appreciate the fact that it didn't look like a luxurious place in the heart of London but it looked like a more authentic restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing. Very authentic so if you only like the Chinese takeaways (which I would call more of a European version of Chinese foods) you need to try this once so you have an actual idea what Chinese cuisine is. The place also have an interesting story which explained in the Netflix series as well. All in all go there and enjoy some real and authentic Chinese foods. You won't be disappointed. Priced very fairly!!"
