Restaurant Gordon Ramsay

4.4 (1,868)$$$$ · Premium

In a townhouse on Royal Hospital Road, this is the original and most formal of Gordon Ramsay's restaurants, holding three Michelin stars for classic French haute cuisine executed with precision. At 4.4 from nearly 1,900 reviews it's clearly a landmark rather than a hidden find, and opinions split between diners who call it one of the best meals of their life and others who found sky-high expectations not fully met. Reviewers rate the lunch tasting menu especially highly, praising confidently judged courses and outstanding ingredients. It suits couples or foodies treating themselves to a genuine occasion meal rather than a quick dinner.

What people say

"Long on my bucket list, now finally made it. I’m not sure, whether my expectations were too high or they had a mediocre day. But the experience felt far from a three star restaurant. The surprise menu was mostly tasty, but no course was exceptional and to be remembered for longer. If it has been a one star restaurant, I’d give a 5/5 but comparing it for example with Jan Hartwig in Munich a month ago, there were galaxies in between. The service was good but together with the ambience it feels very stiff and outdated. Not to be compared with modern three star places. Really would have loved to give a more positive review because I appreciate Gordon Ramsay’s career. But I think if he had dined there with us, he might have had a similar opinion. For a 1000€ dinner just not the standard I’d expect. The positive: The fish and muscle dishes were exceptional and also the bread was surprisingly nice. The rest - as said - was okay. Tasty but not memorable."
