Nature/outdoor
Isabella Plantation was developed from the 1950s within Richmond Park's woodland and has since become one of London's most photographed seasonal spots, its azaleas and rhododendrons erupting into colour each April and May alongside carpets of bluebells. Streams and ponds thread through the plantings, giving it a naturalistic, almost fairy-tale quality that stands apart from the wider park's open deer country. Reviewers consistently single out the intensity of the spring bloom as the reason to plan a visit around this specific time of year.

"It's an heaven and fairy tale garden. So beautiful and Rhodenden and Azalea creates colourful scene. Visited Isabella Plantation recently and it felt like a fairytale 🌸 The azaleas and rhododendrons were absolutely beautiful and made the whole place so colourful and scenic. It was quite busy since we went on the weekend, but still really worth it for the views. A lovely spot to relax and enjoy nature! Nice to see the deers to very close."
