Flohmarkt Arkonaplatz

4.3 (181)Free

Flohmarkt Arkonaplatz occupies a quiet square in Mitte with a more tightly curated selection than Berlin's bigger flea markets, focused on antiques, vintage jewelry, and assorted bric-a-brac from characterful stalls. Reviewers note that prices can run higher than at larger, less curated markets, reflecting the quality of what's on offer, and the market's manageable size makes it easy to cover in a single visit. A moderate review count alongside a solid 4.3 rating fits a smaller, specialist market rather than a major tourist draw.

What people say

"Various bric-a-brac. Some gems could be found there, although prices are higher than at the verified auction houses. Not sure if anyone is interested to invest a few hundred euros into unverified goods at the market as authentic items can be purchased at the auction. I found beautiful Eugene Bormel bronze figurine. The vendor price was 480 Euros. Upon checking on the internet, the figurine was sold at the online Invaluable.com auction for 440 Euros. Either the market vendor purchased it at the auction to make extra 40 Euros in profit (LOL, somehow I'm doubtful) or it was a great copy.....but the copy was great indeed. Check on the internet what you're after before buying. Otherwise, good place to spend 1-2 hours huggling if you're into it. It's also not far from the Tiergatden, which is a beautiful park. Enjoy beautiful Berlin"
