Granja Dulcinea

4.2 (3,856)$ · Budget-friendly

Granja Dulcinea trades on decades of history on Carrer de Petritxol, a narrow street long associated with Barcelona's chocolate-and-churros tradition, and reviewers consistently praise the friendly, attentive service and the charm of the setting. Opinions on the churros themselves are more mixed — some reviewers found them merely average compared to the hype — but at 4.2 stars over nearly 3,900 reviews, most still rate the overall experience highly for its atmosphere alone. It works well as a classic, if slightly touristy, break from the Gothic Quarter's crowds.

What people say

"It was a pleasure to take a break here and enjoy a snack in such a historic and charming setting. The service was friendly and attentive, and we appreciated the opportunity to experience such an iconic establishment. Unfortunately, we were somewhat disappointed by the churros and hot chocolate. The churros were a bit dense and seemed as though they had been reheated rather than freshly made. The hot chocolate, while pleasant enough, lacked the rich, decadent flavor we were hoping for and tasted somewhat watered down. While the setting and service were enjoyable, the food itself didn’t quite live up to our expectations."
