Ai Marmi

4.2 (6,426)$$ · Mid-range

Ai Marmi takes its name from the marble-topped tables that fill its bustling dining room, and reviewers describe a restaurant so consistently busy that a long wait for a table is part of the experience rather than an exception. The pizza itself gets solid praise as a certified, well-executed version of the Roman classic, even if it isn't reinventing the form. With 6,426 reviews at 4.2 stars, it's a high-volume, high-turnover spot built for efficiency more than lingering. It's a good pick for travelers wanting an authentically loud, crowded slice of Trastevere pizza culture.

What people say

"If you are looking for the inventor of pizza, you may not find it. But these guys have the ability to define the pizza with a certified one. I have had the opportunity to eat many different things in many places, but it is unbelievable that they can present such a simple product in a very shabby environment with such a carefree, simple presentation and make it so delicious. Congratulations, I appreciate, I envy. It's the only place I'll definitely stop by next time I come back. Good luck you are."
