Breakfast
Zeit für Brot has become one of the most frequently recommended bakeries in Berlin, and this Alte Schönhauser Straße location draws steady crowds for its baked goods and simple, filling breakfast items like the Omelette Burger. Best time slots skew toward early morning, when the bread and pastries are freshest and the small space is less crowded. A budget-friendly price point and a 4.5 rating across nearly 6,000 reviews make it an easy, affordable stop rather than a sit-down brunch destination. Other branches around the city are noted as more spacious than this one.

What people say
"Stopped by Zeit für Brot for breakfast and really liked it! We had the Omelette Burger and the Ofengemüse Panini, and both were filling and really tasty. I also had a smoothie, and of course, I couldn’t leave without trying their Dark Chocolate Cinnamon Roll. It was soft, gooey, and definitely worth it. What I loved most is the variety they have. There are so many sweet and savoury options that it honestly took us a while to decide what to order. They also have plenty of seating both inside and outside, so it’s a nice place to sit and enjoy your meal without feeling rushed."
