Landmark
Completed in 1752, Mansion House has been the official residence of the Lord Mayor of London for every holder of the office since, functioning as both a home and a venue for state banquets and civic events in its grand Egyptian Hall. Reviewers with a 4.6 rating who've attended events there describe an unusually personal, tradition-rich atmosphere, with one noting the building's connection to the 697th Lord Mayor as a marker of just how long this institution has run. Access is largely by event or scheduled tour rather than casual walk-in, fitting its recommended booking status, and it appeals most to those interested in the City of London's civic traditions rather than typical sightseers.

What people say
"Amazing insight into the home of The Rt Hon the Lady Mayor, Alderwoman Dame Susan Langley. She is the 697th person to hold this office and the first to specifically adopt the title "Lady Mayor On a private tour photo of me with bust of George Swan Nottage (1823โ1885) the last Lord Mayor of London to die in office, passing away from bronchitis on April 11, 1885. Due to his death while holding the position, he was afforded the honour of being buried in the crypt of St Paul's Cathedral."
