Sport/Recreation
Reial Club de Polo de Barcelona is one of the city's largest private sports clubs, combining over 40 clay tennis courts, several field hockey pitches, and a large horse-riding arena on one site. It regularly hosts hockey tournaments and matches, giving visiting teams a well-organized welcome with briefings on logistics and facilities. The scale and variety of sports on offer set it apart from single-purpose clubs, appealing to both competitive athletes and equestrian enthusiasts. Its mid-range pricing and recommended booking reflect its role as a working club rather than a pure tourist site.

"Visited as part of a team for a Hockey Tournament. Attended a meeting prior to the games starting, informed of rules, match times, location of toilets, changing rooms etc The Tournament was very well run, all umpires and t d's were friendly and professional. Luvly staff in the wee bar, selling us all beer, cakes. coffee and rolls etc. Abel and his young lady colleague were very friendly and chatty. They worked very hard during the matches Groundsman very hard working too, keeping bins emptied and pitches tidy etc Our Team Dinner was a great evening, again staff worked very hard serving etc. The food was very good. We as a Scotland Team thoroughly our visit to the Polo Club and njoyed the tournament, hopefully it will be hosted here again in 2027. PS My husband met the young Barca hockey team and parents, about to play in a match, and gave the two young goalies a top each. I believe the team won. 🌟 Gracias to all involved :) :)"
