What people say

"Having been loyal lunchtime customers for over 16 years, we have come to expect a good standard of service and food. Not this time. We decided to sit outside for a change. The tables were so close together it was difficult to get seated. (Crammed in for Wimbledon and the World cup on the big (noisy) screen. We ordered a Camembert and Mushroom Galette. No idea what they brought, but it wasn't what was ordered. We also ordered two medium sirloin steaks. I've never tasted anything like it in my life. First, it was very nearly still mooing, second, it was full of gristle and fat . Inedible. The replacement Camembert and Mushroom arrived and guess what, it was STILL wrong. Eventually, after much discussion, the manager agreed to refund the cost, and supplied a plate of chips, as the other two diners had "finished " eating. We have always had good service and the correct order in the upstairs gallery restaurant from every staff member over the years. It's very sad that a much loved lunch venue will never again receive our custom."
