Food
Quimet & Quimet is barely more than a narrow bar lined with wine bottles, but its montaditos — bite-sized canapés built on quality bread with premium tinned and cured toppings — have made it one of Barcelona's most celebrated tapas stops. At 4.6 stars from over 5,500 reviews and a must-see score of 100, it holds genuine landmark status, reflected in high culture and local scores that mark it as an authentic institution rather than a manufactured attraction. There's no real seating, so the experience is standing at the counter working through a rotating selection of small bites. It suits an early, unhurried lunch or evening stop as part of a wider tapas crawl.

What people say
"Quimet y Quimet deserves a full five stars. This was one of our favorite food experiences in Barcelona, and my wife and I agreed on the ranking of everything we tried. Our favorites were: 1. Scallops with yogurt and onion 2. Iberian pork cheek, which was incredibly good 3. Foie gras with volcanic salt 4. Scallops with caviar 5. Loquats with anchovies Every bite was creative, balanced, and full of flavor. The ingredients may sound simple, but the combinations are thoughtful and memorable. A very special thank-you to Neus, the owner’s daughter. She was warm, attentive, and made us feel genuinely welcome. Her kindness and hospitality made the experience even more special. This place deserves a higher rating. The food, atmosphere, and personal service were all outstanding. We would absolutely return."
